PIWI is jumping forward! Daniel Palme decided to write his final exams about PIWI and started to write code for the project. This means I step back for a while, just talking with him about concepts and the “doing” while he cares about implementation.
The new PIWI version contains lots of refactorings and improvements. Esspecially schema validation of XML files and the extraction of the Serializer components are important to mention. A Serializer transforms the PIWI-XML (which is a XHTML subset) into HTML – and later into PDF or whatever.
People who want to step into PIWI will be glad about the tons of docs Daniel wrote. Good work!
